1963 Fiat 500
£22000
Vehicle Description
We are absolutely thrilled to be offering for sale this gorgeous 1963 FIAT 500 2dr.
- Finished in Blue with tweed leather, this car has enjoyed a major restoration by its owner 20 years ago when it was a barn find.
- Bigger wheels, sunroof, and a quicker 650cc engine helps this cars looks, feel and performance.
- With a nod to one of the Scottish businesses the previous owner had at the time, the interior was re-trimmed in tartan which looks super cool.
- Hardly used since its restoration, the car has covered 330 miles. It was the previous owners little fun toy he kept in his collection amongst his Bentley’s, Rolls Royce and Ferrari’s.
- The Fiat 500 was a city car produced by the Italian manufacturer Fiat between 1957 and 1975. Launched in 1957, it was a cheap and practical town car. Measuring only nine feet nine inches long, and originally powered by an appropriately sized 479cc two-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the 500 redefined the term ‘small car’, and is considered one of the first city cars. Fiat produced their famous ‘suicide door’ 500D from 1960-1965.
- This combination of sunroof, right hand drive and suicide doors is very rare now and has become the most collectable version of the 500. This particular 500 that we are pleased to offer for sale was built in Italy in 1963 and features the desirable combination of suicide doors, right hand drive and sunroof.
- It was imported to the United Kingdom in the late 1990’s then registered in November 1999, where it’s been owned by the same family since.
- The car underwent a full restoration and has been very well cared for during this time with no expense spared maintaining it with various specialists over the years.
- The car is just about to have a service and MOT. Please feel free to call Nigel Unsworth on 07824327707 or 0127628203
