If you run your own business or are a company car driver, now is a great time to switch to a Hybrid as the benefit in kind (BIK) tax breaks can be huge. Much depends on how much tax you pay now, which model you choose and how many miles you do.

Add in little or no road tax, no congestion charge or parking charges (they’re usually free whilst you’re charging at a public charging point) and it can not only save you money but mean you can drive to work in London and other cities.

2. Environmentally Responsible

Hybrid cars run cleaner and quieter, reduce overall fuel consumption (the combined MPG can exceed 140 on some models) and conserve energy through regenerative braking. They’re also made from much lighter materials, which means less energy is required to both run and produce.

3. Higher Resale Value

The recent backlash against diesel cars has seen resale values of hybrids grow as diesels have dropped. So when it comes time to trade it in you should be able to command a premium over other engine types.

60% of new Porche Panamera sales in Europe are hybrids – that’s how good they are. Every car brand has a hybrid in their range now, so you don’t have to compromise style or performance to drive one.
